Nokia 3600 slide and 6600 fold are two stylish new handsets designed by the Finnish manufacturer. The slider belongs to the mid-end circle (priced around 230 euros) and is a nice solution with a 3.2 Mp camera and a TV-out on board. This form factor is rather uncharacteristic of Nokia handsets, more likely to be found among Samsung products. The materials used include lacquered plastic, pieces of metal and soft-touch cover. Regardless of the lack of an onboard GPS unit, the Maps application is still in. It makes a sound alternative to 6500 slide, provided that the price remains on the stated level. As for the clamshell, it looks a bit more original. The most striking feature is the sensor which activates the exterior screen and turns down the ringtone volume after a tap of the finger (a sort of analogy with the premium 8800 Arte). Moreover, the folder mechanism is similar to the one employed by Motorola PEBL U6. The camera is a mere 2 Mp without auto-focusing, though with a capability to record VGA videos. The rest of the features are rather traditional, and the price (around 280 euros) is a bit too high, resulting in a rather ambiguous offer.
